EDUCATIONAL ARCHITECTURE THEORY

Introduction

I would like to compile all my understanding on educational issues and concerns by using different perspective in looking into the structure of education. I do believe that education is a procedural undertaking considering all the possible factors that may contribute to the outcome of the actions done to educate an individual. I do propose that education requires a careful structuring of procedure to reach the desired goal.

There’s a lot of frustration in the learning process and in return results to an unpleasant outcome. There are administrative cases that contribute to the failure of education, the environmental factors that influence the way of thinking of the learner, the biological state and psychological state of an individual and many other things. I will not specify to these factors though they are important to be understood but that will be regarded as the future area of research so that we can enumerate it here and elaborate as to how they affect the learning process.

The vast factors that may contribute to the failure in education may seem to be broad and perhaps these factors are interrelated to each other. It is important to understand the interrelation of these factors so that we can study how they interact and how they interfere with the educational process. If a single cell is composed of different organelles that works together to keep this cell alive is also true in the entire structure of education that there are also essential components that we need to see and to understand so that an educational process become successful and existent.

The goal of this book is to:
1. Determine the major and minor factors that contribute to the failure of an educational process.
2. Understand how these factors work by looking into the network of these processes.
3. Understanding why these factors do exist and determine the underlying factors that cause the existence of these factors.
4. Determine the weak points of these factors so that they will be aborted before they reach the very core of the educational process.
5. Determine the interconnection of these factors.

This attempt to understand the broader sense of education is not to be influenced with what is known today. They may only be considered when they appear to be important.

There have been so many educational interventions but then the problem still exists. The learners are struggling to understand the lessons being taught in the classroom. There are strategies employed in teaching different areas of learning but why these strategies didn’t work in other group of learners. There has to be something that binds within the nature of the learning area and the type of learners that we have and if so, it  is therefore important to understand these connections by determining the type of learners and determine the appropriate strategy that an educator need to employ in his teaching. The type of learners may be categorised in different category and a combination of this may require us to review the best strategy to employ. If this is the case, then it is important to conduct a sorting of these type of learners and group them according to their type so that there will be no multiple strategies to be employed just to address this vast variability. There is a need to unify these types of learners so that there will be no wastage of time in teaching. I do say so because to reach the required standards is to look at the learner’s way of learning. Having a very stratified group of learners is a multiplication of different strategy to be employed in a single group of learners, and this is assumed not favourable to the learners as a whole.  It is also important to understand how this combination affects the required method or strategy since it is believed that a combination of these types of learners in different proportion may affect the method of teaching that we need to employ. I also assumed that there must be an age bracket that shows a certain trait in learning, and it is important to understand these traits so that we can redesign our strategy to fit in this uniqueness.

When we try to build a nice looking house, we need to put into detail everything. Even looking into the strength of the house that we are going to make is also into consideration, knowing how every components of the house should work must agree to our main goal which is to make a beautiful and a strong house. When we saw something unfavourable to these conditions are then addressed for a review and if not revised will soon be removed into the entire system of the house. This view perhaps is the same when we try to build a nation of learners that are designed to reach the required standards. The national standards set before us will serve as our guiding light and direction of the process of building a nation, a nation that is viewed to perform a certain task. I assumed that these standards are of conflict on each other and in that case it needs to be reviewed once again to reform it and fit it together to avoid confusions to the educators by using the perspective used in my theory. A properly organized standard is by no means effective to guide the educators in building a nation of learners.
